COLOURLOCK Binder neutral is a special neutral binder (colorless base) used to stabilize and strengthen surface-dyed smooth leathers. In older leather, the natural aging process leads to the formation of widespread micro-cracks and overall surface brittleness.

This product acts as a liquid, slightly filling and highly stable binder that remains flexible even after drying. It is an ideal "rescue" solution for leather surfaces that are at the end of their lifespan and at risk of replacement. It helps unify the disrupted structure and prepare it for further renovation.

Main advantages:

• Effective stabilization: Strengthens fine cracks and prevents further surface disintegration of the leather.

• High elasticity: Despite its strengthening properties, the binder remains flexible and adapts to the movement of the leather.

• Substrate preparation: Creates a stable layer for subsequent application of colors and fillers.

Areas of use:

Repairs of genuine leather and synthetic leather, renovation of cracked seats, steering wheels, and leather furniture.

Application recommendations:

1. Preparation: Apply Binder neutral exclusively to pre-cleaned leather. Always thoroughly degrease a dry surface (e.g., with a leather degreaser).

2. Sanding: Gently smooth rough areas before application with a sanding pad for leather.

3. Application: Apply the binder using a sponge and allow it to dry intermittently (ideally freely in the air).

4. Finalization: After drying, the surface may be slightly rough due to the filler. Smooth these areas again with a sanding pad and wipe with a degreaser.

5. Repetition: Repeat the process until the desired strengthening is achieved. Subsequently fill deeper damage with filler and recolor the surface with paint (e.g., Leather Color). Do not forget to finally preserve the treated surface with a suitable product.

Warning:

• Shake thoroughly before use!

• Always first test material compatibility on a less visible area (observe visual changes and changes to the surface to the touch).

• Protect from frost and high temperatures.
