COLOURLOCK Grease Absorber Paste is a highly effective absorption paste designed for deep extraction of grease from leather. It is an essential helper for renovating areas that are in intensive contact with skin and hair, where common cleaning agents fail. Thanks to its paste-like consistency, it does not run and is also ideal for application on vertical surfaces.
Deep Degreasing: Extracts absorbed fat and sweat from deep within the pores of the leather.
Thixotropic Consistency: The paste is thick, which allows for easy work on seat side panels or armrests.
Grease Indicator: During drying, it visually shows areas with the highest concentration of fat (yellowing of the paste).
Essential Before Dyeing: Ensures perfect adhesion of new dyes on critical areas.
The product is intended for areas with extreme soiling from body fat and sweat:
Steering Wheels: The most stressed part of the interior.
Elbow Rests: Center and door panels.
Headrests: Areas soiled by hair oils and sweat.
Collars and Cuffs: On leather clothing and jackets.
Safety: When working with the product, always use protective gloves and work in a well-ventilated area (respirator recommended).
Application: Apply the paste evenly and in a larger amount to the affected area by hand (with a glove) to create a continuous, thick film.
Absorption Process: The paste will begin to draw in the grease. During drying, it changes into a dry, brittle white layer, which may yellow in areas with high fat content.
Removal: After complete drying, carefully vacuum the paste or remove it with a soft brush.
Repetition: If the paste is yellow or structurally changed after drying, repeat the process. Continue until the paste remains clean, white, and without significant changes after drying.
Final Preparation: After the last cycle, remove any dust residue using the COLOURLOCK GLD-Solvent agent. Subsequently, the surface is ready for the dyeing and renovation process.
Tolerance Test: Before application, always test on a less visible area to see if any undesirable changes in the appearance of the leather occur.
Drying Time: Drying time depends on the layer thickness and ambient temperature (usually several hours).
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, protect from frost and direct sunlight.
Important: Degreasing with the paste alone dries out the leather, so after the cleaning process (and possible dyeing), it is essential to treat the leather again with a suitable conditioner.
