COLOURLOCK Leather Fixative is a special fixative developed to stabilize unstable dyes in leather. Its main purpose is to prevent the dissolving and leaching of pigments during the washing process, thereby protecting the natural appearance of the material. In addition to fixing colors, it is also extremely effective at removing unwanted water stains and marks from sensitive natural and aniline leathers.
Thanks to its gentle yet effective composition, it finds use in various industries:
Automotive: Leather interiors, steering wheels, and upholstery.
Fashion: Leather jackets, pants, gloves, and accessories.
Furniture: Leather sofas and chairs made from sensitive materials.
Other Vehicles: Motorcycle clothing (suits), aircraft or boat interiors.
Color Stabilization: Prevents color degradation and bleeding upon contact with water.
Texture Restoration: Effectively removes stains caused by water on aniline leather.
Easy Integration: Designed for use in combination with a standard leather washing cycle.
The fixative is applied always before the actual washing and exclusively by soaking in a container.
Solution Preparation: Add approximately 50 ml of fixative to a container with 5 – 10 liters of lukewarm water. For cleaning a complete motorcycle suit, use the full 100 ml.
Soaking: Completely submerge the leather item in the prepared solution.
Action Time: Let the leather soak for at least 60 minutes. During this time, occasionally move the item to allow the solution to reach all parts evenly.
Preparation for Washing: After the time has elapsed, remove the item and let it drain freely.
Washing: Place the wet item directly into the washing machine without prior rinsing. Wash according to standard recommendations for leather materials.
Shake well before use!
Compatibility Test: Always perform a test on an inconspicuous area before full application. Monitor for any unwanted changes in color, visual appearance, or tactile properties of the leather.
Storage: Store in the original container in a place protected from frost and extreme heat.
Keep out of reach of children.
