COLOURLOCK Sanding Pad is an essential helper for every professional and home leather renovation. This double-sided sanding sponge is specially designed to be effective enough to smooth out imperfections, yet gentle on sensitive surfaces. It is ideal for surface preparation before dyeing or for smoothing rough spots after applying filler.

Main product benefits:

• Fine grit: Specially developed for working with leather, where regular sandpapers can be too aggressive.

• Flexibility: The soft core of the sponge perfectly adapts to folds, seams, and curved shapes (e.g., steering wheels or seat side panels).

• Double-sided use: Both sides are functional, which extends the tool's lifespan and efficiency.

• Long lifespan: After use, the sponge can be tapped out or carefully rinsed with water and reused 

Areas of application:

• Smooth leather: Smoothing cracks, hardened areas, and preparing the base before applying Leather Fresh dye.

• Suede leather (Nubuck/Suede): Removing shiny "greasy" spots and lifting the fine nap.

• Plastics: Smoothing scratches on interior car plastics.

• Fillers: Sanding fillers (Filler/Fluid Leather) flush with the surrounding surface.

Application recommendations:

1. Dry sanding: The most common method. Use gentle circular motions over the damaged area until the surface feels smooth to the touch.

2. Wet sanding: When sanding fillers, you can slightly dampen the sponge (with water) to achieve an even finer result.

3. Surface cleaning: After sanding, always thoroughly remove the resulting dust with a slightly damp cloth or leather degreaser to ensure good paint adhesion.

4. Pressure: Do not apply excessive force on the sponge – let the abrasive grain do the work.
