Flex Finish-Pad labeled PP-F represents a top-tier tool in the Flex accessory system, designed for the final polishing phase. This fine foam pad is a key element for achieving a mirror shine and removing the finest paint imperfections on bodywork details.
The PP-F label defines the foam structure, which is characterized by its high density and softness. Unlike more abrasive pads (e.g., PS-O), this foam:
Absorbs vibrations: Increases comfort when working with small polishers like the PXE 80.
Ensures high gloss: Minimizes mechanical resistance, allowing the polishing compound to work at the micro-particle level.
Shape stability: Even with a smaller diameter (50 mm), it maintains its integrity under pressure in curved areas.
The pad is equipped with a highly durable hook-and-loop fastener, which is thermally laminated to the foam part.
Diameter: 50 mm (ideal for 30 mm and 50 mm backing plates).
Versatility: Fully compatible with both rotary and orbital (eccentric) motion.
Heat dissipation: The reticulated foam structure aids in continuous surface cooling.
The PP-F pad is designed so that, in combination with a fine finishing compound, it removes the gray haze from the paint and leaves the surface in a "show car" shine condition.
Thanks to its gentle nature, it is ideal for:
Piano Black paint: Extremely susceptible interior trim and exterior pillars.
Headlights: Final polishing after restoration.
Motorcycles: Complex fuel tanks and painted components with many edges.
Pad priming: Before first use, apply a thin film of compound to the pad to ensure immediate surface lubrication.
Cleanliness is paramount: Since this is the final step, any dust particle trapped in the fine PP-F foam can cause new scratches. Store the pad in a resealable bag.
Pressure and speed: When finishing with PP-F, let the weight of the machine and the compound do the work. Excessive pressure can reduce the compound's cutting efficiency and increase the paint temperature.
