Koch-Chemie Reinigungsknete rot (Rkr) is a highly effective, hard cleaning clay developed specifically for situations where standard cleaning clays fail. This product represents the "heavyweight" in mechanical decontamination and is designed to tackle the most severe paint, glass, and durable exterior surface contaminations.
Thanks to its unique structure, it can quickly and effectively strip away impurities that are firmly bonded to the surface. Since it is an abrasive type of clay, it is designed to be the first step in deep paint renovation.
The red version is classified as aggressive/hard. It is an indispensable helper when working on older vehicles, utility vehicles, or cars with unprofessional paint jobs. It effectively addresses:
Paint and Lacquer Overspray: Removes fine paint mist that occurred during painting near the vehicle.
Heavy Embedded Rust: Removes large deposits of metal particles from brake dust.
Industrial Fallout: Handles ingrained soot, rail dust, and chemical deposits.
Deep Asphalt and Tar: Removes massive tar deposits that have resisted chemical removers.
Old Deposits on Glass: Ideal for cleaning windows before applying liquid wipers.
Unlike the blue version, the red Rkr clay, due to its abrasive strength, leaves a fine matte film (so-called marring) on the paint. This is a natural result of intensive cleaning. Therefore, the use of this clay is recommended exclusively in cases where machine polishing of the paint follows the decontamination process, which will easily remove these marks and restore a high gloss to the surface.
High Cleaning Efficacy: Significantly reduces the time needed to prepare a heavily soiled car.
Durability: The material is designed not to crumble upon contact with coarse impurities.
Professional Packaging: 200 g packaging in a practical box ensures long life and protection from drying out.
Pre-wash: The car must be free of loose impurities (sand, mud).
Chemical Phase: Before using the red clay, we recommend using Koch-Chemie Teerwäsche A (asphalt) and Reactive Rust Remover (Embedded Rust) to avoid unnecessarily quickly contaminating the clay.
Lubrication: With the red clay, it is critically important to use plenty of lubricant Koch-Chemie Clay Spray. The surface must be constantly wet.
Pressure and Movement: Work in small sections. Use only minimal pressure – let the clay do its work.
Cleanliness Check: Since the red clay collects coarse impurities, knead it more frequently to avoid working with a contaminated side.
Subsequent Step: After finishing, wipe the surface and proceed with polishing using Koch-Chemie pastes (e.g., H9.02 or F6.01).
Our Tip: If you are working in a cold environment and the clay seems too hard to knead, place it in a container with warm water (approx. 40-50°C) for 5 minutes. This will increase its pliability.
