KochChemie Ceramic Body Cb0.01
Koch Chemie Ceramic Body Cb0.01 is a ceramic coating used on painted car body surfaces to ensure long-term protection. A very thin protective layer is permanently bonded to the surface through a chemical reaction. Ceramic Body Cb0.01 creates an excellent beading effect (lotus effect). Thanks to its low-maintenance properties, the treated surface can be cleaned gently and easily, even by hand. The protective layer remains intact even after using acidic and alkaline cleaning agents. The cured ceramic protection protects the paint much longer against environmental influences such as oxidation, salt, acids, and insects. Ceramic protection Cb0.01 thus significantly contributes to preserving or increasing the vehicle's value.
Application:
The ceramic protection from Koch Chemie can be used on painted exterior surfaces of cars, utility vehicles, motorcycles, mobile homes, caravans, boats, etc. Thanks to practical application sponges, the paint protection is particularly easy to apply and provides long-term protection against many external influences. Depending on use, the lifespan is up to 36 months. Ceramic Body Cb0.01 can be applied in 2 layers, with a drying time of approx. 30 minutes after the first layer. Follow the washing and maintenance instructions.

Instructions for Use:
- Before polishing and applying the protection, the vehicle must be thoroughly pre-washed (e.g., with prescribed Green Star 1:10, do not use wax shampoos). In case of heavy soiling such as tree sap, rust, tar, etc., it is necessary to use products like Reinigungsknete blau, Teerwäsche A, Reactive Rust Remover or similar cleaning agents.
- Heavily to moderately weathered paint should be machine-corrected with coarse paste Heavy Cut or fine polish Fine Cut according to its condition. Find precise processing information in the product information for Heavy Cut and Fine Cut.
- Lightly weathered paint and removal of holograms after polishing with Heavy Cut or Fine Cut is done mechanically with a dual-action polisher and Micro Cut polish to a high gloss. See the product information for Micro Cut.
- Completely remove polish residue with a microfiber cloth.
- Degrease the paint with a clean microfiber cloth using silicone and wax remover diluted with water in a 1:4 ratio or a spray and wipe again with another new microfiber cloth. This is the only way to completely remove surface-active substances, drying agents, oils in polishes, and so on, and to avoid adhesion problems with Ceramic Body Cb0.01.
- Now, under good lighting, the paint should have a surface free of scratches and holograms. After this step, do not touch the paint with your palms/fingers (risk of adhesion problems, use nitrile gloves). The surface is now perfectly prepared for the application of Ceramic Body Cb0.01.
- Moisten the included application sponge with Ceramic Body Cb0.01 and quickly spread it over the car's paint, step by step, area by area. After applying two cross-coats, a thin, closed film of liquid should be visible. Let the product flash off and then polish with a suitable microfiber cloth. Flash-off time depends on temperature and humidity*. The higher the temperature/humidity, the shorter the flash-off time. First, remove excess material and then polish with the clean side of the cloth using circular motions without applying pressure. Under suitable lighting, check the result for any haze.
Warning:
- Before use, read the warning notices on the container or outer packaging and take appropriate protective measures.
- Ceramic Body Cb0.01 reacts with moisture. This can cause crystal formation on the rim when the bottle is open. If these crystals get onto the microfiber cloth, they will scratch the surface. Therefore, wipe off the crystals with a cloth before dripping the product onto the applicator.
- When applying two layers, a drying time of about 30 minutes after the first layer should be observed, depending on temperature and humidity. Only after at least 24 hours is the treated surface resistant to weather influences.
- Perform the first car wash no earlier than nine days later, as the ceramic protection will not be fully cured until then.
- At low outdoor temperatures (below 15°C), the curing time is extended. Nevertheless, bird droppings and insect residues should be removed as soon as possible and carefully during the first nine days.
- Application of Spray Sealant S0.02 or Handwax W0.01 is recommended after 24 hours to protect the ceramic sealant, which is not yet fully cured.
- Avoid cleaning agents with pH values below 3 or above 12.
- An opened bottle has a maximum shelf life of 6 months.
- Before use, check the bottle for crystallization.
- To preserve the high-gloss ceramic surface, hand washing is recommended for as long as possible.
- For alkaline cleaning, use Green Star (dilution 1:10). For neutral washing, use Gentle Snow Foam. For removing mineral contaminants, deep cleaning with Reactivation Shampoo is recommended.
- Subsequent care that extends the properties of the ceramic protection and minimizes water spotting. Therefore, after washing the vehicle, it is recommended to use Hydro Foam Sealant S0.03 (dilution 1:50 - 1:200) Wet application or Spray Sealant S0.02 - Dry application. Find the exact processing procedure in the product information.
