Koch Chemie Ceramic Rims Cr0.01 - Ceramic Wheel Protection 30ml

Koch Chemie Ceramic Rims Cr0.01 is a ceramic protection that provides long-term protection for painted wheels. The wheel coating permanently adheres to the surface through a chemical reaction and creates excellent water-repellent behavior (lotus effect). The treated surface can be gently and easily cleaned by hand thanks to its easy-to-clean properties. Even after using acidic and alkaline cleaning agents, the protective layer remains intact.

Ceramic protection protects the wheel surface much longer from environmental influences such as salt and brake dust, and makes cleaning and maintenance easier. To achieve the best results, we recommend applying Ceramic Rims protection in two layers. Depending on use, the lifespan is up to 12 months.

Usage Instructions: 

1. Before the application process, thoroughly clean the wheel with Magic Wheel Cleaner. For heavy dirt such as brake dust, use suitable accessories like a wheel brush).
2. Spray Panel preparation spray or silicone and wax remover and wipe off the degreaser with a microfiber cloth. Then dry with another clean microfiber cloth. This completely removes surfactants, drying agents, etc., to prevent adhesion issues with Ceramic Rims Cr0.01. Note: To avoid possible hazing, the silicone and wax remover should be diluted in a 1:4 ratio with water, preferably distilled water. After this step, do not touch the paint with your palms/fingers (risk of adhesion problems, use nitrile gloves). The surface is now perfectly prepared for Ceramic Rims Cr0.01.
3. Use an applicator pen to apply Ceramic protection Cr0.01 over the entire surface.
4. Spread the ceramic protection evenly across the surface.
5. After application, a thin, closed liquid film should be visible.
6. Let the product evaporate and then polish with a suitable microfiber cloth.

How to care for wheels protected with Ceramic protection Cr0.01? 

• The vehicle should be washed for the first time no earlier than nine days, as the protection will not be fully cured until then. At low external temperatures (below 15°C), the curing time is extended. Nevertheless, dirt should be thoroughly removed as soon as possible during the first nine days.
• Application of Spray Sealant S0.02 or Hand Wax W0.01 is recommended after 24 hours to protect the ceramic protection that is not yet fully cured.
• Cleaning agents with pH values below 3 or above 12 should be avoided.
• Hand washing is recommended to preserve the ceramic surface for as long as possible.
• For alkaline cleaning, use Green Star (dilution 1:10). For neutral washing, use Gentle Snow Foam.
• For removing mineral contamination, deep cleaning with Magic Wheel Cleaner or Reactivation Shampoo is recommended.
• Professional follow-up care preserves the properties of the ceramic coating. Therefore, after cleaning the wheels, using Hydro Foam Sealant S0. 03 (dilution 1:50 - 1:200) is recommended as a wet sealant or Spray Sealant S0.02 or Hand Wax W0.01 as a protection booster as a 'topping layer'. 

Important Information:

• Optimal application conditions: temperature 15°C to 25°C, humidity 40% - 50%. If temperature/humidity is higher, evaporation time should be shorter. If temperature/humidity is lower, the reaction may not proceed correctly.
• Consumption depending on wheel size and version approx. 5-7 ml / wheel.
• When applying two layers, a drying time of about 30 minutes after the first layer must be observed depending on temperature and humidity. The coating is weather-resistant only after 24 hours.
• An opened bottle has a maximum shelf life of 6 months.
• Before use, check the bottle for crystallization.
• Ceramic protection Cr0.01 reacts with moisture. This can cause crystal formation on the rim when the bottle is opened. If these crystals get onto the applicator pen, the surface to be coated may be scratched. Therefore, crystals should be wiped off with a cloth before dripping the product onto the applicator pen.

Warning:

• Do not apply in direct sunlight or on a hot surface.
• Do not reuse applicators (applicator pens).
• Do not reuse microfiber cloths used for removing (polishing) the coating.
• Wear nitrile gloves during application.
• Wear respiratory protection, such as a mouth mask.
• Before use, read the warning notices on the packaging or outer packaging and take appropriate protective measures.
