Koch Chemie The Finisher CoverGuard is a professional textile sealant (textile impregnation) that provides long-term protection against water, dirt, and adverse weather conditions. Thanks to its modern water-based composition, it creates an invisible hydrophobic layer on the textile surface that prevents moisture penetration and dirt accumulation.

This product is ideal for anyone who wants to protect textile surfaces in both the interior and exterior of a vehicle. CoverGuard is suitable for example for upholstery, carpets, textile mats, but also for exposed exterior textiles such as convertible tops, sprayhoods, awnings, or tarps.

How Does Textile Impregnation Work?

After application, a protective layer binds to the fibers, which does not change the appearance or structure of the material but significantly increases its resistance. The textile sealant works on the principle of repelling water and dirt, ensuring long-term protection without negatively affecting the material's breathability.

Application Recommendation

1. Thoroughly clean the surface you want to seal beforehand using our VinylTexClean or AllWays product.
2. The cleaned surface must be dry and free of residue before applying the sealant. Mask off surrounding areas that should not be sealed with masking tape.
3. Then apply CoverGuard evenly using a microfiber sponge with crosswise motions.
4. Allow to dry completely for 24 hours.
5. After application, only gently clean the sealed surfaces.

If the effect begins to weaken, you can renew it by reapplying the sealant. Before reapplication, ensure the fabric is clean. Do not use on hot surfaces. First test compatibility in an inconspicuous area.
